NEWTOWN SQUARE, Pa. – The final line on Tiger Woods' week: a closing 1-over 71, 4 over total, a current tie for 50th place and just the fourth time on Tour he's failed to break par in at least one round. There was a disconnect, however, with the world No. 1's own final line.
'I did (see progress),' Woods said. 'I drove it pretty good. It's not too many holes when Stevie (Williams) is talking me out of driver.'
As for what's next, he was not expected to linger about Aronimink for the trophy presentation, which he participated in in years past as the host. Instead Woods bolted the property shortly after his closing round bound for Ireland and the J.P. McManus Pro-Am which will be held Monday and Tuesday.
