The event, to be played on Monday, September 27th, will feature past, present and future stars on the Champions Tour in a fan-friendly Pro-Am format.
Located in Northfield, New Jersey, Atlantic City Country Club played host to the inaugural event of the Champions Tour 25 years ago, as Don January captured the Atlantic City Senior International, defeating Mike Souchak by two shots. The tournament was one of just four events in the inaugural season.
'We are pleased to welcome this prestigious group of golfing legends to Atlantic City Country Club,' said Ken Condon, executive vice president of the club.
This tournament will serve to kick off a series of celebratory activities throughout the year to highlight the amazing success of the Champions Tour.
'We are both honored to bring our members to this historic site,' said Rick George, President of the Champions Tour.
Atlantic City CC has hosted six major United States Golf Association championships, including the 1965 and '75 U.S. Women's Opens. Founded in 1897, Atlantic City CC proudly carries the distinctions of 'The Birthplace of the Birdie,' as well as being the site where the term 'Eagle' was coined.
