Reuters reported Tuesday that Singh, who held a one-shot lead heading into the third round this past weekend at Augusta National, had to pull out of a pro-celebrity skins tournament in India this week. The event will be rescheduled for later this year.
'I was really looking forward to my first golfing trip to India and doing a bit of sight-seeing with my wife,' Singh said in a statement released Tuesday by his management company.
The 39-year-old from Fiji, who won last month's Houston Open for his first victory on the PGA Tour since his Masters triumph two years ago, was four shots behind leader Tiger Woods late in Sunday's final round before suffering a quadruple-bogey nine at the par-five 15th hole.
Singh closed with a four-over 76 to finish seventh at five-under par, seven shots back of Woods, who captured his third Masters title.
