Baltimore Gets New Champions Tour Event


Champions TourBaltimore, Md. -- Constellation Energy Group announced on Wednesday a title sponsorship for a new Champions Tour event called the Constellation Energy Classic.
The tournament is scheduled for September 8-14, 2003 and a tournament site will be announced in a few weeks. The tournament's purse will be $1.5 million.

The 2002 U.S. Senior Open was contested in the Baltimore area, at the Caves Valley Golf Club. Don Pooley won on the fifth playoff hole to defeat Tom Watson for his first Champions Tour victory.
