Bickerton Henry Move Up in Rankings


John Bickerton was victorious at the Open de France on Sunday, J.J. Henry won the Buick Championship in his native Connecticut, and both made big moves in the latest Official World Golf Ranking.
Bickerton flew 100 places up the rankings to No. 89 in the world, while Henry climbed 48 places to 68th in the new rankings.
Ahead of the them, the top 17 from a week ago remained the same. The top-10 had Tiger Woods followed by Masters champion Phil Mickelson, Vijay Singh, Retief Goosen, Jim Furyk, Adam Scott, Ernie Els, U.S. Open winner Geoff Ogilvy, Sergio Garcia and David Howell.
They were followed by David Toms, Luke Donald, Colin Montgomerie, Jose Maria Olazabal, Henrik Stenson, Chad Campbell and Tim Clark in spots 11 through 17.
Irishman Padraig Harrington jumped two places to 18th in the world thanks to his second straight second-place finish. Stuart Appleby and Darren Clarke each slipped one notch to 19th and 20 respectively.
