Choi Climbs Two Notches in World Rankings

K.J. Choi's wire-to-wire victory Sunday at the Sony Open in Hawaii moved him up two places to No. 7 in this week's Official World Golf Rankings.
Choi achieved a new personal best ranking of seven as he collected his seventh PGA TOUR win.
Tiger Woods holds down the top spot, followed by Phil Mickelson, Steve Stricker, Jim Furyk and Ernie Els. None of those players moved from last week's rankings.
Justin Rose remained in sixth, while Choi moved to 7. Adam Scott and Padraig Harrington each dropped one spot to eighth and ninth, respectively. Rory Sabbatini finished second to Choi at the Sony Open and climbed one place to 10th.
Vijay Singh fell out of the top 10 to No. 11. Sergio Garcia, Geoff Ogilvy, Angel Cabrera and reigning Masters champion Zach Johnson completed the top 15.
Henrik Stenson, Aaron Baddeley, Luke Donald, Trevor Immelman and Niclas Fasth rounded out the top 20 for another week.
Richard Sterne won the Joburg Open, a joint-sanctioned event on the European Tour and Sunshine Tour. He went into the event as the highest-ranked player and moved from 44th to 33rd after the playoff win.
