Durant Moves into Top-50 in World Rankings


Joe Durant's win at the FUNAI Classic, his first PGA TOUR victory since 2001, moved him up 37 places to No. 50 in the latest Official World Golf Rankings.
The top eight positions in the rankings remained the same: Tiger Woods at No. 1, followed by Jim Furyk, Phil Mickelson, Adam Scott, Vijay Singh, Retief Goosen, Ernie Els and Luke Donald.
Sergio Garcia moved into ninth position, bumping Geoff Ogilvy to 10th, and Padraig Harrington slipped into 11th, knocking Henrik Stenson to 12th.
Trevor Immelman, David Howell and Paul Casey held onto positions 13-15, while Davis Love moved up three places to 16th after tying for fifth on Sunday.
David Toms remained 17th, Colin Montgomerie slipped two spaces to 18th, Jose Maria Olazabal moved up one spot into 19th and Chris DiMarco dipped two places to 20th.
