Howell Second Highest Ranked European

Fresh off his victory at the HSBC Champions Tournament in China, England's David Howell moved up six places to No. 13. He is now the second-highest-ranked European player behind Sergio Garcia.
Tiger Woods, who finished second to Howell, remained in first, followed by Vijay Singh, PGA Champion Phil Mickelson, two-time U.S. Open winner Retief Goosen and Ernie Els.
Garcia stayed in sixth while Jim Furyk, Adam Scott, Chris DiMarco and Kenny Perry, who teamed with John Huston to win the Franklin Templeton Shootout this weekend, rounded out the top-10.
Angel Cabrera and David Toms held their positions from last week, then came Howell. Padraig Harrington kept his 14th spot, but Luke Donald dropped two places to No. 15.
Colin Montgomerie and reigning U.S. Open champion Michael Campbell each fell one to 16th and 17th, respectively. Davis Love III came in 18th, followed by Darren Clarke, who moved up one to 19. Paul McGinley dipped two to 20th.
