The big story this week is the Champions Tour debut of two-time Masters champion Bernhard Langer. The Hall of Famer turned 50 on Monday, one day after he tied for third place at the European Tour's KLM Open in the Netherlands.

This tournament is like no other on the Champions Tour.

Players are teamed with select junior players from around the country and amateur contestants. Friday and Saturday will have play on both courses, with the leading amateur teams and juniors joining the professionals for the final round Sunday at Pebble Beach.

The GOLF CHANNEL will have coverage of all three rounds.

The Champions Tour is off next week, returning on Sept. 14 for the Greater Hickory Classic at Rock Barn, where Andy Bean won a playoff last year over R.W. Eaks.
