Mickelson Moves Past Goosen in Rankings

Phil Mickelson's win on Sunday at the FBR Open vaulted him up one place to No. 4 in this week's Official World Golf Ranking.
 
Vijay Singh held on to the top spot for the 23rd straight week, while Tiger Woods and Ernie Els stayed pat this week. Mickelson came in fourth and two-time U.S. Open champion Retief Goosen fell to fifth.
 
Sergio Garcia and Padraig Harrington remained sixth and seventh, respectively. Stewart Cink moved up two to No. 8 and Mike Weir held on to ninth. Davis Love III fell two to 10th.
 
Stuart Appleby, who won the season-opening Mercedes Championships, and Adam Scott kept their 11th and 12th spots from last week. Miguel Angel Jimenez and Darren Clarke switched places last week, with the Spaniard taking 13th and Clarke 14th. Kenny Perry, who took seventh in Phoenix, climbed up six notches to 15th.
 
Chris DiMarco and Justin Leonard each fell one to 16th and 17th, respectively. David Toms, who tied for fourth at the FBR Open, remained 18th and Luke Donald stayed in 19th. Chad Campbell fell three to round out the top-20.
 
Craig Parry defeated Nick O'Hern in a playoff to win the Heineken Classic on the European Tour over the weekend. Parry rose 27 places to No. 38, while O'Hern is up to 30th this week.
