Charles Sifford and Joe Jimenez posted a five-under 67 and took second place at minus-nine. Gay Brewer and Billy Casper teamed for a one-under 71 and tied for third place with last year's winners, Don January and Gene Littler, who shot a 70 on Tuesday. These two teams were knotted at six-under-par 138.
Jack Fleck and Howie Johnson combined for a one-under 71 and came in fifth place at two-under-par 142.
Moody and Powell held a two-shot lead to start the final round, but the pair combined for four birdies in a five-hole span on the front nine. They opened the second nine with back-to-back birdies at 10 and 11, then sealed the title with an eagle at No. 13. Moody and Powell also teamed for a birdie on No. 15 to pad the margin of victory.
This two-day best-ball tournament is reserved for players age 70 and older.
