Nationwide North of the Border Again

The Nationwide Tour makes its second stop north of the border for the inaugural Calgary Classic, as players take dead aim with the season winding down in efforts to gain their 2004 PGA Tour cards.
With just nine events remaining prior to the season-ending Nationwide Tour Championship, each event takes on added significance, as players jockey for position trying to finish in the top-20 on the money list. Although Calgary has never hosted the Nationwide Tour before, it twice has played host to the AT&T Canada Senior Open Championship on the Champions Tour.
Don January won the event in 1983 at Earl Grey Golf Club and Brian Barnes won the title in 1998 at Glencoe Golf & Country Club. The Nationwide Tour continues next week in Salt Lake City for the Envirocare Utah Classic, where Arron Oberholser captured the 2002 title.
