Oberholser Stadler Soar in Rankings


Arron Oberholser claimed the AT&T Pebble Beach National Pro-Am over the weekend and jumped 39 places in the latest Official World Golf Rankings. Oberholser cracked the top 50 as he moved to 41st in the new rankings.
Kevin Stadler won the European Tour's Johnnie Walker Classic and climbed an impressive 164 spots to No. 92 in the world this week.
Tiger Woods retained a firm hold on the No. 1 spot, with Vijay Singh and Retief Goosen behind him. Ernie Els moved back into the fourth spot, dropping PGA Champion Phil Mickelson down to No. 5.
Sergio Garcia remained steady at sixth. He was followed by Jim Furyk, Chris DiMarco, David Toms, Adam Scott, Kenny Perry and Colin Montgomerie.
David Howell exchanged places with U.S. Open champion Michael Campbell. Howell was up to 13th, with Campbell down one to 14th. Luke Donald inched up a space to 15th, while Angel Cabrera dipped a notch to 16th.
Henrik Stenson, Chad Campbell, Padraig Harrington and Darren Clarke rounded out the top-20 in this week's rankings.
