World RankingsMark O'Meara won for the first time since the 1998 British Open on Sunday when he captured the Dubai Desert Classic. The win jumped O'Meara up 121 spots to No. 80 in this week's Official World Golf Rankings.
 
Craig Parry, who holed out a six-iron to defeat Scott Verplank in a playoff at the Ford Championship at Doral, vaulted up 47 places to 35th this week.
 
Tiger Woods, who tied for fifth in Dubai, remained in first place, followed by Vijay Singh and Ernie Els, who shared third at the Dubai Desert Classic.
 
Davis Love III, Mike Weir, Jim Furyk, Retief Goosen and Phil Mickelson stayed in spots 4-8 this week. Stuart Appleby moved up one to ninth while David Toms crept up two to 10th.
 
Kenny Perry dipped two places to 11th, while Irishman Padraig Harrington fell one to 12th. Darren Clarke, Jonathan Kaye and Chad Campbell held their spots, rounding out the top-15.
 
Verplank climbed up 12 rungs to 16th and Nick Price stayed pat in the 17th slot. Chris DiMarco and Fredrik Jacobson switched places this week with the American taking 18th and the Swede coming in 19th. Robert Allenby fell four to No. 20.
