PGA Tour Cards Up for Grabs at Q-School

PGA Tour (75x100)For many golfers, this week is the most important of the year: the final stage of Q-school and a chance to earn PGA Tour cards for the 2006 season.

But only the low 30 scores and ties at the end of the six-day event (Wednesday-Monday) will receive their cards for next season; the next 51 finishers will earn fully-exempt status on the Nationwide Tour, while the remainder of the field will receive conditional Nationwide Tour status as a reward for making it through the three-stage tournament.
Last year`s winner, Brian Davis, made the most of his opportunity by finishing 98th on the 2005 money list to maintain his PGA Tour card. Other players, like Rookie of the Year favorite Sean O`Hair, who tied for fourth last year at Q-school, did even better. He finished 18th on the money list.
That`s the dream 165 players in the field hope they are living next year.
