PGA Tour Donating $2 Million Towards Relief

PGA Tour (75x100)The PGA Tour is planning on donating at least $2 million towards the victims of Tuesday's terrorist attacks.

That number could also grow if the fans who were planning to attend this weekend's cancelled tournaments choose to donate the price of their tickets instead of receiving a refund.
All four PGA Tour sanctioned events were cancelled Wednesday for this coming weekend because of the terrorist attacks. The major event on the tour for this weekend was the $5 million American Express Championship. Sixty seven of the world's top players were to attend the tournament.
The Senior PGA Tour and BUY.Com Tour also cancelled their events. The Tampa Bay Classic, a PGA Tour sponsored tournament, was also called off.
The PGA said that all tournaments planned for the next weekend are planned to resume as scheduled.
