Points Changes Made for 2003 US Solheim Cup Team

The value of points accumulated for U.S.- born LPGA players attempting to qualify for the Solheim Cup team will change starting with the 2003 edition of the tournament.
In previous years, and including qualifying for the 2002 Solheim Cup, U.S.- born LPGA players received an average of the point values for their top-10 finishes if they tied with another player in tournament play.
Qualifying for the 2003 Solheim Cup and future Solheim Cups will award full point values to each player finishing in the top-10, no matter if it is a tie.
Due to the Solheim Cup being held in consecutive years, the LPGA Tour and the Evian Ladies European Tour are awarding points for both the 2002 and 2003 Solheim Cup events.
Points for the 2003 U.S. squad began accumulating at the 2002 Takefuji Classic.
