Rhoden Wins Celebrity Classic

Rancho Santa Fe, CA - Former Major League Baseball pitcher Rick Rhoden posted a four-under 67 Sunday to cruise to a four-stroke victory at the Stan Humphries Celebrity Classic. He finished at nine-under-par 133 and defeated former hockey player Dan Quinn.
Rhoden tallied birdies at three, four, six, 12 and 16 while making his lone bogey of the round at No. 11.
'This (Morgan Run) golf course set up well for my game,' said Rhoden, who earned $18,000 for the victory. 'I had to move the ball left and right and my iron game was right on target. I did not have a bad hole and was just steady.'
The win was Rhoden's 18th in the six years since the Celebrity Tour began.
Quarterbacks Neil Lomax and Billy Joe Toliver tied for third at four-under par. Brian Kinchen and actor Jack Wagner shared fifth place at minus-three.
