Scott Garcia Els set for battle in Qatar


European TourDOHA, Qatar ' Defending champion Adam Scott will lead a 120-player field stocked with top talent into this week's Qatar Masters.
Scott beat Henrik Stenson by three shots last year for his second career victory at the event after also claiming the title in 2002.
Among the other top players scheduled to be in the field this week are fellow past champions Retief Goosen (2007), Stenson (2006) and Ernie Els (2005) as well as world No. 2 Sergio Garcia.
Scott and Els will make the trip to the Middle East after playing two consecutive PGA Tour events in Hawaii. Garcia and Stenson will have a short trip to make from Abu Dhabi, where Garcia tied for eighth on Sunday and Stenson missed the cut.
Paul Casey will also be on hand after holding on for a one-shot victory in Abu Dhabi, where he set several scoring records on the way to his second win at the tournament in three years.
The Golf Channel will have coverage of all four rounds beginning at 9:30 a.m. (ET) each day.
Next week is the Dubai Desert Classic, where Tiger Woods won last year. Woods, who is still recovering from the knee surgery he had after last year's U.S. Open, will not defend his title.
