This year`s event will be hard-pressed to upstage the 2002 tournament in terms of drama.
Sitting in the fairway on the first playoff hole, Tag Ridings slammed a 138-yard pitching wedge into the bottom of the cup for eagle to defeat Mark Hensby for his first career title.
Leading by one with two holes remaining, Ridings double-bogeyed the 17th hole to fall one back and then parred 18 to finish at 16-under par. Hensby, playing in the group behind, made bogey on 17 and also parred the final hole to reach the playoff.
On the extra hole, Hensby, playing first, hit his approach shot just 15-feet from the cup, prior to Ridings heroics. Ridings was the only player in the field to post all four rounds in the 60s.
