Seniors Staying in the Sunshine State


2005 ACE Group ClassicNAPLES, Fla. -- The Champions Tour remains in Florida for the second straight week for the Ace Group Classic.
Bobby Wadkins, who is coming off a tie for fourth last week, won here last year thanks to three rounds in the 60s, including a final-round 68. He bested 1999 champ Allen Doyle by a single stroke as Doyle closed with a two-under 70.
Wadkins used a birdie on the final hole to pick up his fourth tour win.
Quail West is hosting for the second straight year and is the seventh host course in tourney history.
There are 12 past champions playing this week. Those 12 account for 14 titles in the 20-year history of the event.
The GOLF CHANNEL will have coverage of all three rounds this week.
The Champions Tour heads to Hawaii next week for the Champions Skins Game, where Tom Watson and Jack Nicklaus won last year.
