In her final LET event, Sorenstam flew up the leaderboard with four birdies in the first five holes. She birdied the ninth to move to make the turn at 11 under.
After dropping a shot on the 10th, Sorenstam birdied 14, 16 and 18 to match Ye at 13 under.
Ye, who lead after the first two rounds, dropped a shot on the first. She birdied three straight from the fifth, but dropped another shot on the eighth.
She bogeyed the 11th, but bounced back with a birdie on No. 12. After faltering to her fourth bogey on the day, Ye birdied the final two holes to force the extra session with Sorenstam.
