Tiger Solid No 1 Scott Jumps to Fourth


Adam Scott fired a spectacular 11-under 61 Sunday to win the Qatar Masters, helping him jump to fourth in the latest world golf rankings.
Tiger Woods won his fourth straight Buick Invitational over the weekend and stretched his lead to more than 11 average points in the rankings.
Woods' lead last week was 10.01 average points and is now 11.02 points after winning for the fifth time in six PGA TOUR starts.
Phil Mickelson and Steve Stricker remained second and third this week. Scott jumped four to fourth. Ernie Els held steady in fifth, while Jim Furyk slid two spots to sixth.
Justin Rose and K.J. Choi both slipped a notch to seventh and eighth. They were followed by Rory Sabbatini, Padraig Harrington, Vijay Singh and Sergio Garcia, who remained ninth to 12th this week.
Stenson, who finished second behind Scott, climbed two to 13th. That moved bumped Geoff Ogilvy and Angel Cabrera down a spot apiece. Zach Johnson, Aaron Baddeley and Luke Donald stayed 16th, 17th and 18th.
Lee Westwood and Trevor Immelman exchanged places with Westwood up to 19th this week.
