SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. -- The International team avenged a playoff loss last year by defeating the American side 2 1/2-1 1/2 Tuesday at the Tommy Bahama Challenge.
The International side, once again led by CBS analyst David Feherty, made up for last year's loss at the hands of his good friend and colleague, Gary McCord.
One year ago, Chad Campbell defeated David Howell in a playoff to earn the win for the Americans. Tuesday was a different story and a different format, as this year's contest was played under match-play rules.
The event consisted of four-man teams with all players 30 years of age or younger.
Ben Crane netted the lone full point for the U.S. as he clobbered Kevin Na 5 & 4. Tim Clark of the International side halved his match with Zach Johnson, but the International team played well in the other two matches.
Geoff Ogilvy bested Ryan Moore 1-up and Englishman Justin Rose won by the same score in his match against Arron Oberholser.
The International team shared $400,000, while the United States split $280,000.
