With Victory Perry Rises in World Rankings


Kenny Perry collected his second PGA TOUR victory this season at the Buick Open on Sunday and in the process moved up eight spots in this week's World Golf Rankings.
Perry, who also won the Memorial, vaulted to No. 19 this week.
Tiger Woods remained in first place, followed by Phil Mickelson. Geoff Ogilvy and Adam Scott switched spots from last week with the former U.S. Open winner going to third and Scott dropping to fourth.
Ernie Els stayed in fifth, while Stewart Cink, Steve Stricker, Sergio Garcia and Justin Rose held their rankings from last week. K.J. Choi, who will defend his title this week at the AT&T National, moved up one to 10th.
Vijay Singh slipped a spot to 11th and Padraig Harrington inched up a notch to 12th. Jim Furyk sank one to 13 and Trevor Immelman and Rory Sabbatini flip- flopped places with the Masters champion up to 14th and Sabbatini down to No. 15.
Henrik Stenson, Lee Westwood and Luke Donald held pat, followed by Perry. Anthony Kim fell one to 20th, while Miguel Angel Jimenez dropped out of the top 20.
Spain's Pablo Larrazabal earned his first European Tour title on Sunday at the Open de France and climbed 343 spots to 138th.
