04 Miccosukee ChampionshipMIAMI -- Tim Wilkinson stands at 10 under par through 15 holes of the second round of the Miccosukee Championship, which was suspended Friday due to darkness.

The first round was completed on Friday after being suspended for the day due to lightning on Thursday. The 15 players remaining will return to their positions on the course at 7:30 a.m. ET Saturday to finish the second round.

Jason Gore is the clubhouse leader at 9-under-par 133, while James Driscoll, Ryan Howison, Ryan Armour and Bryce Molder share third place at 8-under-par 134. Molder shared the lead with Wilkinson after the first round at 7-under 64.

Wilkinson stumbled early, as he bogeyed the par-4 third. He atoned for the error with a birdie at the par-3 fifth. The 2000 New Zealand Amateur champion also dropped in a birdie on the eighth at Miccosukee Golf and Country Club.

Wilkinson came right back to birdie the ninth to move to minus-9. He made it three in a row with a birdie on the par-4 10th. He parred his next five holes before play was called for the day.

Gore collected three birdies to go along with a bogey on the front nine. He jumped to minus-10 with an eagle at the par-5 14th. He birdied 16, but stumbled to a double bogey at the last.

'I had a vicious lip-out on the last hole,' said Gore. 'Golf is a hard way to make an easy living. But I'm still 9 under and I'm still in good position.'

Molder tripped to a bogey at the third, but came right back with birdies on four and six to get to minus-8. The four-time first-team All-American at Georgia Tech fell back to even par for his round when he bogeyed the 10th. Molder posted birdies at the 14th and 16th, but bogeyed the last to share third place.

Howison birdied the 13th and came right back with an eagle on 14. He faltered to a bogey at the 15th, then parred his next three holes. Howison ran off three straight birdies from the par-4 sixth, but bogeyed the ninth, his last of the afternoon.

'If I can start clicking with my golf swing I can have some fun,' Howison said. 'I was just trying to get myself in position today. I'm happy I'm in contention.'

Howison and Gore are both on the outside looking in of the top 60, which would gain them entry into next week's Tour Championship, and both need good finishes.

Armour collected five birdies and one bogey in his round of 67. Driscoll joined Armour, Howison and Gore in a tie for third with his 66. He ran off four straight birdies from the second and moved to minus-9 overall with birdies on Nos. 8 and 9. He collected one birdie and two bogeys on the back nine.

Nick Watney fired an 8-under 63 to finish one shot off the course record. He shares seventh place at 7-under-par 135 with Brad Fabel (68) and D.J. Trahan (67). Rafael Gomez, D.A. Points, Kelly Sellers and Chris Sessler are one shot further back at minus-6.
