With Win Cink Floats Up to 6th in Rankings


Stewart Cink won the Travelers Championship on Sunday, his first PGA TOUR victory in four years, and climbed to a career-high world ranking of No. 6 this week.
The injured Tiger Woods was No. 1 for the 501st time, followed again by Phil Mickelson, Adam Scott, Geoff Ogilvy and Ernie Els to make up the top five.
Cink moved up six places to No. 6 and Steve Stricker was up one spot to No. 7, dropping Sergio Garcia and Justin Rose down two places apiece to eighth and ninth respectively. Vijay Singh rounded out the top 10, down one spot from last week.
K.J. Choi, Jim Furyk, Padraig Harrington, Rory Sabbatini, Trevor Immelman, Henrik Stenson, Lee Westwood, Luke Donald, Anthony Kim and Miguel Angel Jimenez rounded out the top 20.
Furyk was down two spots to 12th and Kim moved up one place to 19th, dropping Jimenez to 20th. The others held onto their spots from last week.
