Assessing the Regional Sites

RSS

As we saw last week at the NCAA Womens Regional sites, anything can and usually does happen. Most notable was the second seeded Auburn Tigers not advancing out of the East, and becoming uanble to play on their home course for Nationals.

The mens fields were announced this week and I will see if I can improve upon my 19 of 24 performance in correctly choosing the womens teams which advanced.

Mark Laesch from Golfstat.com has also given me his selections. So lets get to it, as the Mens Regionals are set for May 20-22.

* The strongest of the three Regional sites is in the East, at the Yale golf course in New Haven, Connecticut:

Burkowski - Florida, Clemson, Georgia, Georgia Tech, S. Carolina, Augusta St., Wake Forest, Duke, N. Carolina, Georgia St.

Laesch - Florida, Clemson, Georgia, Georgia Tech, Augusta St., Wake Forest, Duke, N. Carolina, Jacksonville St., Auburn

* The Central Regional is set on the campus of Purdue University in West Lafayette, Indiana:

Burkowski - Oklaoma St., Texas, TCU, Minnesota, Oklahoma, Kentucky, SMU, Illinois, Ohio St., Purdue

Laesch - Oklaoma St., Texas, TCU, Minnesota, Oklahoma, Kentucky, Kansas, Tulsa, Colorado, SMU

* Out west, the action will take place at the Crosswater Club in Sunriver, Oregon:
