LAS VEGAS -- You and your bride are ready to take the plunge. You've set the date, sent out the invites and done the planning.

But before that wedding day, you've got to blow off a little steam with the buddies. And there's no better place to do just that than Las Vegas. After all, what happens in Vegas ... well, you know the rest.

Grab your best friends, your golf clubs and that Platinum credit card and hit the road. Good times -- make that great times -- await.

Las Vegas bachelor parties: The basics

Any and all of the Las Vegas resorts will be a great place for you guys to call home, whether it's for a couple of days or a week.

What it boils down to is personal preference. High-end? Wynn, MGM, The Palms Casino Resort and a few others will set you up with a top-of-the-line experience that any husband-to-be deserves. It won't be cheap to rent a suite for you and the guys, but you'll want to do this in style.

So, to that end, one of the best places to stay anywhere would be at The Palms Casino Resort's Hardwood Suite. For around $25,000 a night, you'll get a 10,000-square-foot, two-floor suite complete with half-court basketball floor, locker rooms, dining area, Jacuzzi tub and 42-inch plasma TVs. For an added touch, you can personalize jerseys for you and the guys.

There is plenty more luxury to chose from on and off the Strip.

Las Vegas bachelor parties: On the golf course

Again, it's a matter of taste when it comes to golf course favorites.

There are championship golf courses. There are desert golf courses. There are resort golf courses. There are resort, desert-style courses. Some of the top designs right on the Strip include the Wynn Golf Club on the north end (designed by Tom Fazio) and Bali Hai Golf Club on the south end (designed by Lee Schmidt/Brian Curley). Off the Strip are more than 50 golf experiences that will challenge players.

There are plenty of local course favorites, designed by some of golf's greatest names including Dye, Nicklaus, Fazio, Palmer and more, to tackle. Check out Walters Golf's trio of beauties: Desert Pines Golf Club, Royal Links Golf Club and the previously mentioned Bali Hai.

Or there's a pair of rolling experiences at Revere Golf Club -- the Lexington and Concord Courses. More? Look into the three masterpieces at Las Vegas Paiute Golf Resort, the Wolf Course, Snow Mountain and Sun Mountain.

A couple of others include Arroyo Golf Club at Red Rock, Tuscany Golf Club and Rhodes Ranch Golf Club. From high-end to moderately priced, there are more than enough golf choices in the Las Vegas area that will fit the bill.

Las Vegas bachelor party: Off the course

From star-studded shows to magicians to strip clubs, Las Vegas definitely has it all. "Jersey Boys," Penn & Teller, Garth Brooks and the Cirque de Soleil shows are all top rated and just the tip of the entertainment iceberg. There are upcoming stops by the likes of Britney Spears, Def Leppard, Barenaked Ladies, Randy Travis and much, much more.

It's the same with the dining -- plenty of choices. World-class chefs dot the Las Vegas landscape. From Wolfgang Puck to Kerry Simon to Emeril Lagasse, you'll find some of the best dinner selections anywhere. Steaks, seafood, sushi, pizza, burgers -- you name it, it's here.

After hours the club scene in Vegas is full-tilt, non-stop, eye-popping action until all hours of the morning. The best plan of attack for a group of guys is to get VIP passes to one (or more) of the hottest clubs. That will secure a front-row table for all the action on and off the dance floor.

You can also rent party buses to take you from one club to the next. It's your own private shuttle, at your beck and call.

One warning: If you've got an early morning tee time, make sure someone's watching the clock. You don't want to take a chance of missing out on a final round or two with the bachelor.

And if you're looking for that prefect spot to smoke that cigar, check out one of the many cigar bars in Vegas. Carmine's Little Italy Sport & Cigar Lounge, Havana Club Cigar Lounge and Andre's Monte Carlo are just three spots to light up that perfect cigar and enjoying a drink.

And, finally, here's the chance for the future husband to take one last plunge before he takes that wedding plunge. Take him up to the top of the Stratosphere Tower where your group can try out SkyJump. It's an 855-foot bungee leap off the top of the tower (or the equivalent of 108 floors).
