Golf after dark

DORNOCH, Scotland -- The group of American golf writers stumbling down Royal Dornoch's first fairway just past 2 a.m. on Sunday thought the impromptu round was original.

Turns out Dornoch after dark is a regular occurrence.

'Everyone should leave a wedding and come and play Dornoch at night. It's a rite of passage,' said Alan Grant, the master of ceremonies at Skibo Castle and best described as the Scottish David Feherty.
