All three are excellent Dan Maples designs, they're very different, and they're all golf. In fact, the Witch, which was built on 500 acres of swampland, has no houses on it, and you certainly won't notice any of the development in the background of the other two.
These courses are also in outstanding shape and service is stellar thanks to a dedicated maintenance staff, terrific pros and the passion of owner/operator, Claude Pardue, who believes every customer should feel like they're getting their money's worth and then some. The Wizard and Man O War feature perfect bentgrass greens, while the Witch, the hardest of the three golf courses with long, tree-lined fairways, has excellent Bermuda putting surfaces.
There's lots of water on all three courses, but the preservation of the natural wetlands on the Witch is particularly impressive. Maples and Pardue managed to lay out a golf course with spectacular bridgework that left the wetlands totally undisturbed. You'll also love the clubhouses, each of them themed for each course. Man O War's, for example, is built on stilts over the 100-acre manmade lake on the property.
This summer, you can play all three golf courses for just $128, or better yet, get a stay-and-play package right on the beach at one Mystical Golf's partners such as the Patricia Grand Oceanfront Resort for as little as $195 for four nights and three rounds of golf.
