It's about the beginning of the end of golf season in northern markets coast-to-coast, and many are dropping their green fees as the mercury falls.
In British Columbia's Fraser Valley, Ledgeview Golf Course is offering a two-player special: $99 including cart (normally $160). The course, opened in the 1960s, has since been remodeled by Canadian architect Les Furber.
Also in the Pacific Northwest, Druids Glen in Washington is offering 24% off weekend times: $55 with a cart between 12-2 p.m. Saturday and all day Sunday. This weekend special rate is valid thru the end of the month.
They're ushering in fall golf season in northern Michigan. Marsh Ridge Resort in Gaylord is offering a $39 special before 2 p.m. or $32 afterwards. This tranquil course winds through meadows and deep woods.
Lastly, down south in Clearwater, Florida, Clearwater Country Club is featuring golf for just $26.26 Friday-thru-Sunday (normally $40). In addition to golf on a Florida classic dating back to 1920, the rate also includes a free hot dog and draft beer.
