Dufner puts rock in Bradley's bag

RSS

Round No. 172 in the ongoing, contentious-yet-friendly rivalry between Jason Dufner and Keegan Bradley goes to the man currently in possession of the Wanamaker Trophy.

Good friends both on and off the course, Dufner and Bradley have been known to take jabs at one another via Twitter, but Thursday Dufner landed a figurative blow while the two were paired together at the Northwestern Mutual World Challenge.

After narrowly avoiding a large rock in a bunker lining the fairway at Sherwood Country Club, Dufner played his approach and then took the rock from his caddie before exiting the bunker. Without much hesitation, he walked over to Bradley's bag and slipped the sizable paperweight into his playing partner's equipment.

This is likely just the beginning of a friendly feud this week between the two major champions, though Bradley may be well-served to withhold his retaliation until Saturday, when Dufner's attention will be split between the golf at hand and his Auburn Tigers, who will battle Missouri in football for the SEC title and a possible berth in the national championship game.
