But if you're going to St. Andrews and you're not playing Kings Barns, one of the best, true, modern designs, and ona destination. In middle of nowhere Michigan, a Roscommon- Mm-hm. That second golf course , would make it that stay and play destination. They got little lodging there now, great, great fishing, would be a great spot. Okay, let's get to the last question in the mailbag for now, for our travel expert from Kent. Buddy trips are great, but what about family trips? I only play with my three daughters. Affordable options. Well, if you go in the off-season, I'm, I say Pine Needles and Mid Pines would be a great spot, you know, host of three Women's US Opens , and very accommodating, to women. I think a man with three daughters would have a lot of fun at either one of
Ginella: Tips for playing Bandon Dunes
Matt Ginella gives his tips for playing Bandon Dunes. Watch Morning Drive everyday on Golf Channel.good tips. What about, where am I gonna play? There's so many golf courses to choose from. How do I manage where I'm gonna tee off? Yeah, so now there's five courses at Bandon Dunes and I, especially in those summer months with those summer afternoon winds. I think managing where you play throughout your week is important. You want to play all the golf courses obviously and we will do that. I like to play Pacific Dunes and Old MacDonald in the morning. Given the wind conditions which will kick up more in the afternoon. Pacific Dunes is less forgiving and Old MacDonald has no protection. So play those golf courses in the morning. I like to take a break in the middle of the afternoon, let those winds kick up. And then they tend to sort of fade off, late in the afternoon. Play Bandon Trails in the afternoon because that's well protected by trees. That gets you up off the coast and you get tree-lined fairways. It's a big difference from any other courses on property. And then Bandon Dunes in the afternoon. A, that golf course is a little more forgiving than most of the other golf courses . And they've got a couple holes right there that 15th, the 16th hole there along the water. You wanna get out there

Golfing World: Bandon Dunes course report
Golfing World takes a close look at what's on offer at Bandon Dunes in South Oregon.where he could build golf on sand, having a passion for the golf courses overseas. So he acquired the site and went through the permitting process which took some time and planned out the first golf course. Bandon Dunes itself is the first layout to open. Followed by Pacific Dunes two years later. Both have all ready made their way into the Rolex list of the world's top 1000 golf courses . Some of us thought that we might see some erosion to the 30,000 rounds that Bandon Dunes did, in its first stabilized year, but in actuality play went up on Bandon Dunes when we opened Pacific Dunes, and both courses been so well received. And of course, along in 2005 came Bandon Trails, designed by Bill Coore, Ben Crenshaw . And then that 2010 the opening of Old Macdonald. Designed again by Tom Doak and Jim Urbina. And then more recently the

Matt Ginella answers viewer questions about high-end buddy trips. Watch Morning Drive everyday 7AM ET.Scotland, that to me feels like every five, every ten years and Pebble Beach is one every ten years for me. Hm, great insight, alright, question number two, my man. Honest opinion of Silverado North in Napa, your review in Golf Digest was positive and Frys is there, good or great? yeah, I, I spent some time in Silverado. Johnny Miller purchased this property with a couple partners in 2010. Miller, obviously Napa is very close to his heart and, and revived the place. This was a Bob, one of Robert Trent Jones Junior's original designs. It was, the two courses at Silverado. I was read and Johnny Miller redid the North Course, I think Bob Jones really wanted the chance to do what he did recently to Poppy Hills which is put a fresh face on one of his original designs. I think Johnny Miller did a very good job with what he has to work with there. I reserve the word great for routing and holes that are a little more memorable than what they have at Silverado North, but I think it's a very good golf course . I think the south course is also very good. And they have plans of, of renovating that at some point in the
