Lynn fires 63 to capture Portugal Masters
David Lynn rallied Sunday with an 8-under 63 to claim the Portugal Masters for his second career win on the European Tour.
Portugal Masters: Final-round highlights
England's David Lynn wins the Portugal Masters, shooting a final-round 63 to finish on 18 under. Dougie Donnelley has the highlights.clear cup winner. Paul Waring of England still looking for his first European Tour win finished in dramatic fashion with a long birdie pot, but a 71 from the Englishman and a total of 16-under-par, which did enough only for this year of 3rd place. Alongside him, it's 16-under, Autrias Bernd Wiesberger. He had a chance to win last year. His chance perhaps going this time around with a bogey at the 17th, but a 67 for Wiesberger left him too tied for 3rd. alongside Stephen Gallacher , who finished very well with 5 birdies on the back 9, this one at the 17th, a 66 for the Scot. The most emotional pot of the day is certainly that of South Africa's Justin Walters. This, at the 18th, where only one birdie was recorded all day was for par. A round of 66 just 2 weeks after the sad death of his mother, took him all the way from a 126 up to 70th in the race to Dubai. But it was David Lynn's day and the long awaited victory, only his 2nd in tour in 9 years after his initial win in Holland in theat and no one was quite able to get up side with David Lynn . And after all his exploits in the PGA Tour , David Lynn is our winner again here in Europe.
