His coach, Mike Bender, shows you a drill that will have you sticking your approaches like a champ. Watch Lesson Tee Live Wednesdays at 8PM ET.can see the bag spin to the right. Since the club, the sand wedge is the shortest club in your bag, the tendency for most golfers is to get too steep with it. And when you have too steep an angle of attack. The club releases early, you gouge the club into the ground taking too much duvet and then the ball flies too high with less spin. So it's really important that you come from the inside and practice, even though the ball is back, making that having that release and making that bag rotate to the right. So in essence you're drawing your sand wedge , you're drawing your wedge shots. So now, how you do it on the range is make some practice swings. And when you take practice swings, even though the ball is back and my hands are forward, like this. You want to take very little divots, very shallow divots. So I like just brushing the ground like this. And you're gonna take a little divot, but not, not those real deep ones. Once you can do that, then you go ahead and take the golf ball , play the ball back like I said. You notice I have that open stance. Now I'm gonna hit that same technique coming

Zach Johnson would disagree. So would Mike Bender. And if you can. That's great. And I would say, I don't know what number of shots they were hitting in Palm Springs like that, but it would have certainly run into hundreds of shots with a 6, 7, 8, 9-iron. Just matching it up after impact. You can't control impact, but you can get a feel for this so match it up.
