Golfing World meets up with Meredith Kirk, an LPGA Professional turned Mrs. America hopeful, to learn more about her charitable organization Junior Golf Exchange.afford to get the golf clubs. So I came up with this exchange program where golf courses can participate and they can, parents can drop off clubs and then families that need them can pick them up. And it's just exchange program for each year, children can get a new set of clubs up until the age of 14. So every child can learnin my life. Like, learn how to put on makeup and. Watched YouTube videos on how to walk and I did all this crazy stuff, but I ended up winning it. The first pageant ever, so now I have the opportunity to take it to the next level which is great because I'm doing it for Junior Golf Exchange. So, it's exciting. The unexpected Mrs. South Carolina win opened up a whole new window of opportunity for Meredith. And now the coveted Mrs. America title is in her sights. But her focus remains firmly on the Junior Golf Exchange program . It's going well so far. Active in ten states across the USA. Meredith's enlisted the support from numerous golf courses and even three time major winner Larry Nelson. The in vision for me would be fer, to get a National sponsorship. Verging

Reggie Sanders had 17 years as a pro, is one of only eight members of the. 300, 300 club in baseball. 300 home runs, 300 plus stolen bases. He played for my Padre's fr a year. He, he is one of the true gentlemen. He is incredibly gracious. Lives in Myrtle Beach with his wife and four daughters. And to, he walked me through stealing a base. I said, what golfer doesn't want to get to the 18th green. From the 18th green to the 19th hole little faster like can you give me, tips on getter quicker. Stealing bases and, we had a little race. We a little stealing, base race and I lost. Yeah, we saw that, and it- -I'm at the Heritage Club actually. One of my my favorite in Myrtle Beach , Myrtle Beach has a close to a hundred golf courses , and you know, stretching 60 miles. And I'm playing the Heritage Club right now, and stopped here on the eight green and I'm in having another great, great morning, the hits just keep on coming. They certainly do, my friend. Good morning- Morning. Happy belated birthday to you by the way- Thank you. So sorry we- So much. Can't be there with you, but we are in our home stomping grounds. This is really fun stuff for Charlie and I. The last two years now, we've been coming to the Grand Strand. Charlie grew up in Fort Mill South Carolina, I grew up about 30 miles north of here in north Myrtle Beach , and this is a home game for us. But we're here to support a fantastic cause. The First Tee of Grand Strand, and the First Tee of Brunswick County. That are growing as we speak. Yeah, it's so much fun to be here and support these great programs here in the, golf capital of the world. You know, Myrtle Beach is known for two things. Golf capital of the world and, home of Kelly Tilghman. Maybe not in that order I don't think. Not necessarily in that order. But, Kelly we've got tremendous vineyard. I mean, this Caledonia is spectacular. I mean, folks, check out this 18th hole right here bes, behind us. Thi, this golf course is celebrating its 20th anniversary. And I'm gonna tell you what. It has the best entrance in golf. When you drive down that road into Caledonia, and that includes an entrance to a little golf course up in Augusta, Georgia, that is the most beautiful entrance to golf. You gotta put this on your bucket list. Great facility. And we're very grateful that for two years in a row now they've let us come here and raise money for the First Tee here in the Myrtle Beach area. Heritage Club and Tidewater is farther north, but a very good golf course . I always say for a buddies trip, back to our point of not having to drive from place to place, go to Barefoot Resort. Get four golf courses. They got great buddies' deals there. So that gives you the buddies trip option. I imagine it's hard to simplify when you have these pockets of, of the globe, whether it's Scotland or Myrtle Beach . Where you have so many options.
