Now to get more distance, one thing that's overlooked is just to increase your ball speed, and then maximize your ball speed. You need to hit it in the center of the face. So many of you right now, the contact is roaming around: from the toe, to the heel, high, low in the face. To maximize ball speed, we got to get it right in the center of the face. Now, one of the most common errors with the driver is we set up to this forward ball position. Watch On The Range Wednesdays 8PM ET.and they just are only hitting the golf ball only with their upper body , their hands, and their arms. So this is a great drill. I like to call this a sequence drill. What you do is you go ahead and put your feet together and then as your arms go back take a step forward and swing. This is very similar to making a baseball swing, a throwing motion hitting a tennis ball, and it'll help you get a little bit more speed with your body and help you have your golf swing become a little bit more athletic. It's gonna look something like this. I'm gonna go and put my feet together and as my arms go back I'm gonna take a step then swing. This is a great way to help your sequencing in your golf swing and you're gonna feel that your lower body, your upper body , and then your hands and arms work together in the golf swing .
