RE/MAX World Long Drive Championship
Four primetime specials airing throughout the month will showcase the men and women who compete in long drive, beginning with grassroots local and regional qualifying, and culminating with the RE/MAX WORLD LONG DRIVE CHAMPIONSHIP, a live, two-hour, primetime finale from Las Vegas when eight finalists will attempt to outdrive each other for a winner-take-all $250,000 prize. Additionally, NBC will air a 60-minute recap show of the entire RE/MAX WORLD LONG DRIVE CHAMPIONSHIP in December, which will mark the first time golf’s premier distance event will be seen on network television.

Tim Burke , 27 years of age from Orlando, Florida, the 2013 champion. But, let's talk about this venue, a perfect setting for the fans and for the players. -Speed met speed tonight, Bob. An electric crowd and these-- the eight longest hitters in the world put on quite a show. -All right, well, Tim Burke was long right in the quarterfinals and when he needed to go deep, he did 414 yards in the quarterfinals that kindMiller, the champion from 2010, and well, I'll tell you what, for Tim Burke , he decided to hit second going into the finals and gets one out on the grid, gets it over 400 yards, 405mark, too close to call so the final three balls belong to Tim Burke , he elected to hit second and wow, look at the power on this one. -He lined up and the next thing he know, he hit his best shot as he said of his life. This ball stays in the air, I don't know how long, flies over 410 yards and he sets the championship rematch record at 427 yards. -And he knew it right off the clubface. He gave the early walk, he gave the Tiger Woods fist pump. What about Tim Burke , being able to come back after the disappointment last year and losing in the finals, and the stare down, Joe Miller, and the rest of this field, and walk away with the winner take all $250,000 prize. -He said he's gonna make changes to his golf swing. He said he would eliminate that right shot when it mattered and he did it. Well, everybody was all in Tim Burke , gets a championship belt and $250,000. He's the 2013 rematch World Long Drive Champion.
