Inbee looks to tighten up game for weekend at Birkdale
Inbee Park talks about her performance at the Women's British Open and the surprisingly good weather at Royal Birkdale thus far.all. Just I, I'm really happy with the way I'm playing the golf course , like the strategy and I've been really avoiding a lot of the fairway bunkers , but that's really what I'm happy with. And yeah, just try to give myself a little more opportunity on the, on thegood, and there's gonna be a lot of good scoring around this golf course . So yeah, key to this golf course is taking advantage of the par fives, isn't it. Are you one of those players that hopes for tough conditions over the
Huffing and puffing: Lewis hoping wind blows
Stacy Lewis talks about her strategy to make a move on Sunday at the 2014 Ricoh Women's British Open.a lot easier, when there's weather. You know, there's, especially on this golf course , you can make a double in a heart beat. So it's one of those, I think tomorrow's just going to be one of those days you gotta hang in there and you know, hopefully make a few putts at the end and make a few birdies coming in. And just see what happens. Being the world number one, being a major champion, you have the advantage of drawing upon a lot more of experiences than other people, including your come from behind at Saint Andrews last year. What do you think you'll be drawing upon more than any other tomorrow? Just the patience. I know now, if you make a bogey, it's okay. It's making those doubles and worse that can really get you. So if you get in trouble, you gotta get out. That's the biggest issue when it's windy and when it's hard, so. Just be, just the patience more than anything, because I know, like, you know, you can be four or five back and still, and still win a golf tournament . Yeah, we'll love to ask you this question once you know kind of what number you need to catch. We don't know what the lead is going to be. Considering just 18 holes left, different conditions, do you have any idea of how aggressive you will play tomorrow? It's just all going to be on the conditions and, you know what, hole locations, how you feel over the shot, you know, you just gotta take every shot for what it is. And you know, I don't like put numbers out there. I don't like put numbers in my head. It's just, you know, see what the golf course gives you, and hopefully, hopefully you move up as the day goes on. Good luck. Thank you.
Pettersen finishes eagle-birdie at Royal Birkdale
Suzann Pettersen discusses her strong finish during Round 3 of the 2014 Ricoh Women's British Open.Lewis we always knew there could be a fast finish on this golf course with three par fives in the last four holes. Eagle birdie for you, on Saturday how crucial was that? It's always agame. So, fun to be out there and I'm really enjoying this golf course . Looking ahead to tomorrow, so, so many things can happen. So many things can change on this golf course , you can make double bogies, you can also make eagles. Does that change the mind set, that maybe you'd be keeping an eye on other people, tomorrow just playing your own game. Around this track, you have more than enough to take care of the tee shots and the pro shots, even if you're in the middle of the fairway you can easily heap up and hit a sloppy second and put yourself in an awkward spot, so. You just cannot, go, anywhere but being in the present and, right off the bat you're tested with a pretty, nice t-shirt I'm number one and so, I guess you're right in the, heat of it. Well you've run, major championships before and you're trying to at a Ricoh Women's British Open title to the cache, good luck. Thank you so much.
