We chat with the currently top-ranked European Challenge Tour player, Jordi Garcia Pinto, who is working hard to earn a full European Tour card.turned pro back in 2008, and is now a regular on the Challenge Tour , but has also been making appearances on the European tour with invites to some of the bigger events. He's the number one ranked player on the challenge tour , and here at Golfing World, we reckon he's definitely one to watch. Well, it feels great, because it means that I've been working the right way, during the winter. But now I know that we have the most of the season to, to play. So, I'm very focused tournament, on my tournament. Trying to, to do my best in every week. A regular top ten finisher on the Challenge tour , Jordy recently demonstrated he can take his game to the biggest stage of the European tour . Farring a final round 66, for a share of second place behind Mark Ocresby at the NH Collection Open in April. I've been writing like I said I feel very good in that, in that part when, when I was kid I was playing that also in so I enjoy a lot playing there, wherever I make it with this college it's been a fantastic week. You know, it meant a lot to me. Winning the Challenge Tour's Barclay's Kenya Open, at the beginning of 2013, was another significant miles stone in Jordan's career, as his first professional title. A good week in Madeira earned him another healthy paycheck and we'll see the Spaniard traveling to Turkey for the next Challenge Tour event in confident mood. Golfing World Course Report: Sotogrande in Andalucia, Spain
Golfing World heads to Sotogrande, on the Costa Del Sol, to take a closer look at their stunning range of golfing options including La Reserva Golf Clubhigh-profile courses in the Andalucia region like Valderrama and San Roque. The golf course , was opened in 2004. So it's quite a new facility. It's been designed by Cabil Robinson, he's an American Architect, he lives in Spain, his base is there, he's done some great golf courses in the coast here, and this is probably one of the best. What I like about the golf course is you've got a good blend, you've got some long holes, but you've also got quite a few short holes where you'vequality about it, in terms of its reputation, the quality of the Golf Course , and the hotel of course, as well. La Reserva also welcomed the European tour in 2014, with the NH collection open. We know this is perfect, we have a perfect place for tourism. We have two ports, we have one airport. We have freed some space. After four days of intense competition at the NH collection open, Italy's Marco claimed his maiden European tour victory, finishing two shots clear of Spain's Garcia Pinto and Scotland's Richie Ramsey. Well, I think probably around this a prime, you know, a golfing destination down here in the Costa del Sol. I mean, you got not only Valderrama. You got this golf course and Both courses. I mean, it's probably the, the best destination and the best golf courses in the Costa del Sol. So it's definitely a place, a place to come. Andalfia has hosted several tournaments, internationally recognized for the last year such as the Ryder Cup , in 1997, and so many viewer tournaments. Most of the, of the courses have been designed by international, recognized architects. And, it's, it's really a paradise for golf lovers. Apart from golf Andalusia offers a variety of options to enjoy from the mountains of the Sierra Nevada , to the beaches of the Costa del Sol with fine food and wine every step of the way. From Spain's impressive International Crown coronation to Jim Furyk letting another lead slip away, Golf Channel's Lauren Thompson brings you the latest from the world of golf.the Spaniards clinched the title after Belen Moto pulled a 12 foot birdie putt on 16 to defeat Thailand's Moria Juchangigon. Spain's final total of 15 points was four better than runner up, Sweden. And for the seventh time since winning the 2010 tour championship, Jim Furig saw a 54 hole lead slip away. Tim Clark , birdie five of his last eight holes in final rounds 65, and a one stroke victory over Furyk at the RVC Canadian Open. For Furyke the winless streak continues as it's been over 1400 days since the last of his 16 PGA Tour titles. And Bernard Langer wasn't letting his commanding lead slip away. The German won his second British Senior Open Championship by a record 13 strokes. Langer shot a four under 67 on Sunday at Royal Fourth Call to finish 13 strokes ahead of runner up, Colin Montgomerie . Langer's margin of victory was the largest in senior majors, breaking Hale Irwin's 12-shot win in the 1997 senior PGA Championship. And
