Watch 'Morning Drive' every day at 7AM ET.hole number 3, Gary. Getting choked up here just thinking about that Ryder Cup venue. Should the Champions Tour allow 50-year-olds with PGA Tour status to play on that tour? -Not necessarily. I mean I think if people really examine and Charlie knows as well, the Champions tour maybe the hardest tour to get on in the world. Truly, in terms of the number of players to get through, through the qualifying process and the players who were exempt by virtue what they did on the PGA Tour . It- we have a launch this week because Neal Lancaster has stars because a major medical, but he didn't have a status on the Champions Tour . No, they're not embolden to give guys starts just 'cause they had some starts available on the PGA Tour . -You know what it really is almost a close shop-- -Yeah. -the Champions Tour . I mean basically, there's a qualifying school and you essentially have to finish and the top 4 in the qualifying school to have access to that tour and it's hard to get in those events. So, you have players like Neal Lancaster, a winner on the PGA Tour . They're lifetime members. They're gonna get access to a handful, maybe more of PGA Tour events every year. I don't think they're gonna change the system. So a guy like Neal is relegated to try on a mandate qualified to get his Champions to a starts. He'd much rather be playing on the Champions Tour . The pick ends' a little bit more easy than dealing with the young guys, although it's still as obviously a challenge. But, it's not a perfect system, but a guy like Neal Lancaster has to take advantage of the opportunities that he does get and really play well when he gets to start on the Champions Tour . -All right. That will do it for Overdrive. Gentlemen, thank you for your thoughts and thank you for joining us on GolfChannel.com.
