That's the current closing rate of 54 hole leaders on the PGA tour Not exactly a sterling statistic. Matt Kucher became the latest victim of the 54 hole trend, when he forfeited a four shot lead heading into the final round at the golf club of Houston. Right now, only nine of 20 PGA tour winners who slept on the lead were a part of the lead Saturday night. And as a result, parity is reigning supreme. But consider this, Couture is not the only big name that's forfeited a lead. Bubba Watson , Adam Scott and Rory McElroy have all lost two shot or greater leads, and that's only going back until February. Next stat, eight over.
