Charles Schwab Cup Championship

November 10-12, 2017

Phoenix Country Club | Par: 71 |
Purse: $2,500,000 | Defending Champion: Paul Goydos

This week the PGA Tour Champions travel to Phoenix Country Club in Phoenix, Arizona for the Charles Schwab Cup Playoffs. This is the last of 26 events of the 2017 PGA Tour Champions season and the third of three events in the Charles Schwab Cup Playoffs. Bernhard Langer enters this week as the leader in the season-long race for the Charles Schwab Cup as he has won seven times this season including three senior majors and each of the first two playoff events in Virginia (Dominion Energy Charity Classic) and California (PowerShares QQQ Championship). This week, the points have been reset similar to the way that points are reset for the PGA Tour’s Tour Championship with the top-five players guaranteed to win the Charles Schwab Cup season title if they win the tournament. All 36 players have a mathematical chance to win the season-long race if they win this week at Phoenix Country Club. The top five players in final points will split $2.1 million in annuity with the winner receiving $1 million, 2nd place $500,000, 3rd place $300,000, 4th place $200,000, and 5th place $100,000. Notable winners of PGA Tour events at Phoenix Country Club include Byron Nelson, Ben Hogan, Bobby Locke, Jimmy Demaret, Lloyd Mangrum, Cary Middlecoff, Ken Venturi, Arnold Palmer, Jack Nicklaus, Johnny Miller, Ben Crenshaw, Lanny Wadkins, and Hal Sutton. Watch LIVE coverage on the Golf Channel Friday & Saturday 4PM-7PM ET and Sunday from 4PM-6:30PM ET.
