Formerly and perhaps best known as the Bob Hope Classic, the Humana Challenge is a fan favorite as it brings together professional and celebrity golfers alike. Hosted in California’s unique Coachella Valley from January 14-20, the tournament sponsorship was recently assumed by Humana in partnership with the Clinton Foundation in 2012, yet still brings forth the celebrity participants that it has historically been recognized for and celebrated. Each of the 156 pros participating will partner with a different amateur for the first three days on three different courses, culminating to the top 70 golfers playing the final 72-hole round at the Palmer Private at PGA West on Sunday. Celebrities on the list to play this year include rock star Alice Cooper, television host Carson Daly, NFL future Hall of Famer Ronde Barber, and Grammy-winner Michael Bolton, just to name a few. From its unique desert location and its three course layout to its exclusive celebrity pro-am partnerships, the Humana Challenge is rest assured to bring a weekend of fun-fan excitement and great golf, all for a great cause.
