Commonly referred to as the “Fifth Major,” The PLAYERS Tournament boasts the highest prize of any championship in all of golf. Played at TPC Sawgrass in Ponte Vedra Beach, Florida, The Players Stadium Course was specifically built to challenge the game’s greatest professionals while not catering to any particular player or style of golf. The course is home to one of the most recognizable, and perhaps feared, holes in golf, its par-3 on the 17th hole that is said to be nothing short of intimidating for even the most advanced players. Anticipation is high as the mystery that is the PLAYERS Championship affords anyone the chance to win. This notion is perhaps best realized with the following fact: of the 15 times that Tiger Woods has played the tournament, he has only contented twice.
