Jay Madara is Chief Financial Officer for Golf Channel and its related businesses. Madara is responsible for the overall financial management and direction of Golf Channel, including forecasting, annual budget, long-range planning, new business development, financial reporting and accounting, as well as administrative and facilities management. Madara previously served Comcast Cable as vice president of financial planning & analysis, and vice president of finance at Comcast Spotlight, the advertising sales business unit of Comcast Cable.
A certified public accountant by trade, Madara began his professional career with Ernst & Young in Philadelphia. He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, a Core Class Fellow of Leadership Philadelphia, and a graduate of the FBI Philadelphia Field Office Citizens’ Academy & Community Partnership Program. Madara was appointed to the Board of the Central Florida Expressway Authority in December 2014 by Florida Governor Rick Scott, and also is a Board Member of the Central Florida Partnership.
A native of Reading, Pa., Madara earned a bachelor’s degree in Accounting and Finance from Temple University, where he graduated magna cum laude while playing for the school’s baseball team. He lives in the Orlando area with his wife and two daughters.
