Ryan Burr

Ryan Burr serves as a host for Golf Central, the network’s daily evening news program, and also hosts Golf Channel’s Live From programming, airing on-site from the game’s biggest events. He also contributes to the network’s coverage of the RE/MAX World Long Drive Championship. In addition to his roles with Golf Channel, Burr has contributed to NBC Sports Group’s coverage of the Olympic Games, and also serves as a play-by-play host for college basketball on NBC Sports Network.

 Before coming to Golf Channel, Burr spent seven years as a studio host at ESPN, working on shows such as College Football Live and College Basketball Final. He also anchored weekend editions of SportsCenter, served as a play-by-play announcer for ESPN’s NCAA men’s college basketball coverage, and hosted NASCAR Now. Prior to ESPN, Burr was a studio host for Fox SportsNet in Pittsburgh, Pa., working as a pre-game host for Pittsburgh Pirates and Pittsburgh Penguins telecasts. He also worked at WTVG-TV in Toledo, Ohio, Bay 9 News in Tampa, Fla., and served as sports director at WKTV-TV in Utica, N.Y., where he received a local Associated Press Broadcaster-of-the-Year award. An avid golfer since his high school playing days, Burr is a graduate of Syracuse University and a Pittsburgh native.
