As senior vice president, Golf Sponsorship and Sales, Knapp reports to Trish Frohman, executive vice president, Ad Sales & Strategy for NBC Sports Group. In his role, Knapp utilizes his sales experience, programming acumen and relationships across the golf and business industry to deliver innovative opportunities for brands to connect with Golf Channel’s affluent and influential audience across multiple platforms.
Prior to his current role, Knapp served as Golf Channel’s senior vice president of programming. Previously, Knapp was president and general manager at XOS Digital Media, where he managed the Digital Media Services product line and oversaw the groundbreaking SEC Digital Network. Prior to XOS, Knapp was Golf Channel’s vice president of strategic partnerships for eight years. Knapp has more than 20 years of experience in the television industry, joining Golf Channel in 2002 after working at NBC in New York, where he developed and sold sponsorship platforms for the Sydney and Salt Lake City Olympic Games for the NBC Owned Stations.
A graduate of Ohio University, Knapp currently lives in the Orlando community of Bay Hill with his wife Lauren and three children.
