What to make of Tigers play

NEWTOWN SQUARE, Pa. – It's hard to know quite what to make of Tiger Woods' performance at the AT&T National. Yes, he has driven the ball well but his poor putting and tendency to make simple mistakes is not something we are used to seeing on a regular basis.

Woods has stemmed the bleeding after a poor start to the third round. He made three bogeys in the first six holes but subsequently has added three birdies on a warm but pleasant morning at Aronimink.

With five holes of his round left, he is 3 over, 10 strokes off the pace.

You've got to wonder whether the distraction of his apparent imminent divorce has not seeped into his golf.
